Colorado Arts of Recovery is a statewide organization created by volunteers. We believe people living with severe mental illnesses:
Are valuable members of society;
Have unique personalities, talents and abilities;
And have the capacity to regain the relationships, interests and dreams they lost due to illness.
We organize arts workshops and events in an effort to increase public awareness and remove the barriers caused by the stigma of mental illness.
Colorado Arts of Recovery gratefully acknowledges Ed Knight, Ph.D., and the Verrazano Foundation for guiding our efforts in developing an art-based anti-stigma campaign in Colorado.
